Each position being elected has candidates listed below the position.

The first candidate listed under each office is the one I currently plan to vote for. The others are listed in no particular order. 

I have brief comments about each candidate as well as links to their web sites. For candidates without web sites, I provided a search string you can use in a search engine.


US Senate


Rick Scott - incumbent, has experience and seniority, does a decent job, known quality

Columbus - does not seem to have solid conservative principles

Gross - not careful about campaign laws (Georgia - got thrown off ballot for ineligibility), can't have careless or dishonest candidates

District 22 US Rep


Dan Franzese - won primary and ran last time. Got 45% against Frankel last time. Solid conservative. Well funded.

Adeimy - Talks well on issues, but doesn't seem as conservative as Fanzese. Almost won the GOP primary last time.

State Attorney - 15th Judicial District


Sam Stern - experienced prosecutor and litigator, strong campaign fundraising

Freedman - seems qualified, but has done very little campaign fundraising. Without considerable money, it is hard to run a county-wide race.

Public Defender - 15th Judicial District


All candidates are Democrats, so we have only those choices available.


Daniel Eisinger - has more experience in public defender office. Seamless transition (good if you like it, bad if you think a different Democrat will improve it).

Frankel - some public defender experience, private defense attorney, municipal political experience (Delray Beach), brings outside perspective.

Sheriff - Both are well qualified and better than the Democrat Rick Bradshaw.


Lauro Diaz - extensive policing experience. Ran against incumbent last time (but lost, of course).

Michael Gauger - extensive policing and police administrative experience. Concern about LiUNA union endorsement (why did he get it and why does he publicize it?).

GOP State Committeeman


Jason Kulp - new to Florida. Well qualified. Oriented toward grass roots more than establishment.

Joe LaFauci - Florida political experience. Lots of endorsements from Palm Beach County GOP leaders. Good platform.

Howard - has switched between Republican and Democrat parties more than once which raises concerns for me.

Jean Marie Middleton - Endorsements by Democrat elected officials and School District counsel jobs are concerns for me.

County Question 1 - Economic Development Property Tax Exemptions


No - Even though the current ordinance says the board of commissioners will use a rational, fair, objective method of granting exemptions, granting exemptions by political vote inherently invites corruption and economic inefficiency. New jobs created are usually not worth the tax breaks given. If a business wants to locate in Palm Beach County, these exemptions will make little difference in the decision. The better strategy is to keep the business environment and business taxes low in general for new and existing business operations. Often, streamlining permitting for construction is even more important to businesses than property tax exemptions. Also, the county could lay off employees used in this process including litigation for enforcement actions, and let commissioners focus on political issues like overall tax rates, crime, and municipal services instead of trying to make a county industrial policy.


Yes - Allow county commissioners to vote tax exemptions for individual business expansions in the county because we expect the government to be fair, honest, and efficient when trying to create more jobs in the county by providing special treatment to businesses promising to do so.

Condominium Accountability - We Need to Improve the Condominium Act

 Here is a proposal for an amendment to the Condominium Act that I will be requesting Republican legislators to introduce and pass. Please let me know what you think about it. Suggestions to improve it will be greatly appreciated. Condominium Affordability and Accountability Act (Proposal for Legislative Bill) Purpose: Make condominiums more affordable by improving the accountability of Association boards as well as licensed professionals advising them and allowing residents to opt out of paying for recreational benefits and any other costs not specifically related to building and property maintenance.   Provisions: All master community organizations with the authority to assess fees to condominium associations or owners within them without explicit consent from every unit owner will be governed by provisions of the Condominium Act except when that creates a conflict with other laws they operate under. Tim Walz Opposes 1st Amendment: Apparently Democrat Leaders Agree

 This story in the Federalist shows how much of a leftist radical Tim Walz is. Anyone who observes a biblical religion will be prohibited from being licensed as a teacher in Minnesota and from teaching in schools.  Read the story! Walz is not a "Minnesota nice" person. He is a radical leftist actively working to undermine biblical values and the foundations of Western Civilization.  Remember, he does not support freedom of speech if the speaker is saying something hurtful or inaccurate .
